Biography
Born in Philadelphia, Corinne Gaston is a poet and freelance writer now based in Tulsa, OK, where she serves as the Nonfiction Editor of literary magazine Okie Modern. She facilitates a monthly writers’ workshop called The Second Draft Society, and is a freelance contributor at The Pickup.
In 2025, she was awarded the Artist Creative Fund grant, which provided funds to create a writing workshop series exploring different neighborhoods and sides of Tulsa, culminating in a showcase with nine featured poets.
Her flash fiction piece Dream Car is forthcoming in eMerge Magazine after she won the Nikki Hanna Literary Challenge in 2026. Her poem For Evelyn won third place in the 2025 Gordon Parks Museum poetry contest, and her other poetry has appeared in Literary Orphans, Apeiron Review, and Rose Red Review.
She is currently working on her first chapbook of poetry.
Education
B.A. in Creative Writing and a minor in Folklore from the University of Southern California.
